Abita Turbodog Black and Tan Beer... Mixed Results

The dark Abita Turbodog worked out really well for a bottom beer, at first.  I tried it with a Blue Moon on top and the layer separation was nice and distinct. (See left picture)  A buddy that was over also tried it and experienced a different effect.  We saw 'tendrils' of the Turbodog coming up into the lighter Blue Moon. (See center picture) These tendrils were being brought up by the Turbodog CO2 bubble trails.  Slowly the two layers were mixed. 

I later tried Turbodog with some other beers (eg Sol) and saw the same effect with even faster mixing.  

• Conclusion A: Abita Turbodog is a great bottom beer but the layering effect can be quickly lost.  
  
• Conclusion B: Stop taking pictures and start drinking!
